On the lips, “I’m ok.”
In my head, an entire building has collapsed on me,
bricks pressing into my chest,
walls crushing my ribs,
dust choking my lungs,
the weight of concrete breaking my bones,
and I’m buried beneath the ruins, beneath everything I cannot say.
