Sometimes I think it’s easier for the people fighting on the battlefield than the war we’re fighting. At least they have a clear enemy, weapon, and attack strategy. Yes, they die, their bodies are torn apart, and there is immense destruction—but at least it’s a visible war.
We live in a society that glorifies love and relationships and presents them as the ultimate goals of life. There’s a perception that if you’re single, you’re missing something and that you’re incomplete. Movies, songs, and social media—all tell us that true happiness comes when you find “the one”. But what if that’s not entirely true? What if love and relationships are, actually, overrated?
At some point in our lives, we all face moments where we are unprepared for disappointing results. We unconsciously prepare for positive outcomes, because we naturally expect and hope for the best. We put all our efforts into winning the battle, without considering the consequences of our success or failure might bring. However, when things don’t go as planned, this mindset leaves us vulnerable and unprepared.
When I see women confronting men, be it on the street, in the market, at the workplace, or even in their homes, it gives a sense of satisfaction. It is not about endorsing conflict for its own sake but about seeing a form of justice. For generations, many men have enjoyed unchallenged privilege and dominance, often leaving women on the receiving end of condescension or neglect.
