Success is just a state of mind, we never really win. We try, achieve, and lose.
When we fight with loved ones, winning damages the relationships and hurts feelings, negating any sense of victory. The greatest form of suffering is not being able to experience the joy of victory. We earn some and lose some. There is no such thing as complete success. You always lose even if you win. It is rightly said that some battles are not worth fighting.
Some people are not prepared for what comes after success. After success comes loneliness. Success can blind you, leaving you stranded in a barren landscape of new achievements, with no one to share them with. And petty regrets start eating you like slow poison and lead you to a point where your enormous success looks like ants in front of a huge mountain of your petty regrets. It is like a victory that comes at such a great cost that it is essentially a defeat. You can’t be yourself anymore. Each drop of your blood undergoes a new process of rebirth. Keeping in mind the suffering that comes with success, it’s important to choose your battles wisely.
