Confession

When I see women confronting men, be it on the street, in the market, at the workplace, or even in their homes, it gives a sense of satisfaction. It is not about endorsing conflict for its own sake but about seeing a form of justice. For generations, many men have enjoyed unchallenged privilege and dominance, often leaving women on the receiving end of condescension or neglect.

Seeing women stand their ground and push back feels like a small yet powerful moment of payback. It’s a reminder that the dynamics are shifting, that women are no longer willing to accept the old status quo. Instead, they are taking up space, asserting their voices, and demanding the respect they’ve long been denied.

Yes, these changes are still just waves in a vast ocean. Its impact is limited, and real respect and protection for women is a long way off. Nevertheless, these small victories are still enjoyable and show that progress is being made.
