You are average..

Stylized hair with question mark symbol.

Am I beautiful or average?
We start asking ourselves this question just when we wake up in the morning. This question haunts us all day long, whether we are awake or asleep. To get to know more about us we ask our friends and family. We only post pictures to get compliments. We rely on these compliments to feel good. All this emphasis on looks harms our overall well-being and quality of life.

The sad reality behind this materialistic question is that we create these beauty standards for ourselves, and then we judge ourselves based on them. We teach children that these are the standards and that to survive in society you have to hone your beauty. With bad looks, you won’t find a great future husband or wife. Beauty is the only criterion and nothing else matters.

Living in a world where beauty is equated with success and worth can lead to pressure to strive for perfection in appearance, which is a sad aspect. Accepting that one’s appearance is average can be difficult because it can feel like admitting to not meeting these societal ideals.
The fact is that there are no fixed standards of beauty. They vary from culture to culture so that means you can never achieve perfect beauty. Moreover, beauty is more than just physical appearance. It also includes personality, confidence, and other intangible qualities.
We must keep in mind that success and value are multifaceted and can be achieved through various qualities, skills, and accomplishments that have nothing to do with physical appearance.

Beauty is only one aspect of a person, and countless other qualities contribute to one’s overall worth and uniqueness. Traits like intelligence, confidence, creativity, kindness, resilience, determination, and compassion are just as important, if not more, in determining a person’s success and worth.
Being comfortable in your own skin, celebrating your individuality, and focusing on personal growth and fulfillment are more important than conforming to narrow standards of beauty.
Today you must accept the truth that you were born with average looks and you are beautiful in every way. You will feel relieved. Save your energy and spend it on being kind to the world.

Value Your Own Efforts

You are the best thing
